PROGRAM: Freshman Faculty Forum

The Freshman Faculty Forum program is for S&T faculty who began their academic appointment at Missouri S&T during the past year. It is designed to ease the transition into life at this institution and the surrounding community, while enhancing their academic and professional impact for their own benefit and that of the university. One component of the program is the Freshman Faculty Forum, which will have regular meetings throughout the year to address the concerns and issues that new faculty inevitably encounter.

The Freshman Faculty Forum program consists of a series of meetings and events where different offices and organizations from around campus present highly useful information about the Missouri S&T teaching and research experience. Each meeting focuses on a particular topic, from Finding a Mentor to Tenure & Promotion to Course Design and much, much more!

Below is a brief summary of calendar events for Fall 2015 and Spring 2016. NOTE: Events are subject to change. Any changes will be communicated via email to all new faculty.

Here is a more detailed list of events that includes not only the Freshman Faculty Forums, but also EdTech and CERTI professional development activities (open to ALL faculty).
